robchronphotography > This was taken on a back route on my way home from a play. The farm fields in this area tend have a thick line of trees surrounding each patch so the moon stood out well.
robchronphotography > I had a fantastic 5th grade teacher. She was so dedicated. Everyday she stayed at the school till like 11 working on all kinds of stuff. She had a knack for great field trips. One of the best trips of the year is the schooner trip. We go up to Little Traverse bay and spend the day on the biggest schooner in Michigan. The man who owns it is 28 and very successful. This is one of pulleys on the boat.
robchronphotography > I have a friend that used to do 4h fairs with rabbits. One of the bigger fairs we went to had exotic birds in one tent. One of the bird in here was a set of baby emus. Very cute, but kinda nasty things. Bugger, nearly pecked my lens.
robchronphotography > This happens almost every year in Michigan. We get an early snow towards the end of fall and then we see nothing until January. This was taken at the end of fall behind our house in the woods. As I take the picture I'm actually standing in another creek running the other way. In the winter, this area turns to ice and looks like a big T. Thats what the neighbor kids call it. They go ice skating back there almost every year.
robchronphotography > While traveling up and down Michigan following my father who was racing in a 500 mile bike race called the Del Mac, we stopped at our cottage in Bay View, which is near Petoskey. I had never been there during the fall so it was an interesting experience to see everything beginning to shut down for the winter. As we were driving past the park to go the Bistro in town, The storm began to break right over the Petoskey Pier, which you can see silhouetted in the picture. I jumped out the car and began shooting.
robchronphotography > Every summer I spend a lot of time up north in a small community called Bay View. We have a cottage on the water front. This girl, who has been my friend since I was a toddler, owns the cottage next door. This is her and her dog Lucky after we had gone for a polar bear swim. This is a swim down at our dock in the morning that tends to be very chilly. We are sitting on her porch drinking coffee waiting for the world to wake.
